"Permanecer Sentados, Por Favor!"

"Welcome back space travelers!"

It's days like today that make me wish I was basking in the beautiful California sun, eating yummy kettle corn popcorn, while relaxing under a shady trees on Main St., Disneyland... my Happiest Place on Earth....

"Welcome, foolish mortals..."

"This here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!"
"To all who come to this happy place: Welcome! Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America... with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."

"Hey Buddy, wanna pick some snowberries?"

when it gets this cold in the middle of the night...

...this white and cold stuff creeps in and covers, literally COVERS, everything in site

This is a site to be seen! Most locals think I'm crazy for LOVING the snow as much as I do -we'll see how I feel in about 3 months- I find this site to be quite calm and peaceful. Although, my nose, toes and fingers seem to never stay warm... it's a good excuse to stay home, brew some hot cocoa, cuddle up into a cozy blanket and pop in a good flick- at this time of year I prefer and LOVE to watch a good romantic or funny Christmas movie- ELF currently holds the #1 spot for Christmas movie of choice in my heart.
THIS IS THE LIFE and I can't help but wake up each morning and feel beyond blessed!  LIFE IS GOOD in da SUGAHOUSE HOOD! snow angels anyone???

a place called home

As much as i'm a procrastinator.. I am even more of a go-getter! Within a week and half, I found a new job and a place to live in Salt Lake City, Utah! A city that is completely foreign to me, although the state of UT is not. After deligently driving around SLC everyday for the past week and half - handing my resume to countless banks and credit unions - last tuesday I walked through the front doors of a large architectural firm in salt lake city, without an appointment, and requested to submit a resume for hire. Needless to say, two days later, I landed a Project Assistant position. With good pay and full benefits! I am beyond thrilled! I will be working directly with the Architecture department as well as the Interior Design department. This sort of position is somewhat of  "a needle in a haystack", especially within the design industry in today's economic crisis. Words can not even express how blessed i feel!

The pictures below are of our cute new place!

the front of our place (the second half of a duplex)

our BIG backyard with a yummy apple tree (this is only half of the yard!!!)

front entry/ living room

kitchen (there's a stove that you can barely see)
but there is NO microwave or dishwasher.. uhhh.. wish us luck

bedroom #1 & #2 and bedroom #2's closet (only two of those walls are green.. soon to be painted)

the basement- master bedroom (sorry no pictures were taken of the bedroom) but here is the master bath and walkin closet.

the basement great room/ laundry room... we're going to use it as an extra hang out room

It's a tiny and cozy 3 bedroom 2 bath place in SugarHouse. Its nothing fancy, but has LOTS of potentional. WE LOVE IT!!!!

P.S Dont ask us how mush we pay for rent.. you'd be jealous that you didnt snatch this place first- SUCKAS!!!!

the great salt lake

Well, I never really thought much about becoming a blogger. But I figured since I moved to a new state, have a new job.. pretty much a whole new life.. my family (HI MOM!!) and friends would maybe want to check up on my life every once in a while. So, here goes nothin....
